"RELIANT CITY"

People pretty much sacked out anywhere there was room for a cot. These were near one of the elevators we used.

This is what the floor of the dome looked like for most of the time we were there.

Just a shot through one of the doors on the fourth floor.

More camped out near one of the old vendor stations. This one is Luther's Bar-B-Q.

One of the free phone stations set up on the fourth floor.

Second floor housing area.

Got to think of everything in a situation like this.

Another area of the second floor.

After about 11pm the lights are dimmed to where you see them now. It's not exactly dark, but close enough I guess.

On the second and fourth floor the lights didn't dim very much, but didn't keep this family from getting to sleep.

The East Ramp. Our main avenue of ingress and egress. You can see some of our golf carts sitting over on the right.

Prior to lights out, interviewing a fellow.

Some of the deputies I worked with.

The balloon folks. They came out to entertain the kiddos.

They were pretty funny, and they sure were good for the kids.

Like I have to say anything about these two. All that's missing is a gang sign being thrown.

One of the hallways up on the 9th floor.

Another area on the 9th floor. Used to be a restaurant/bar.

An outside play area for the kids. As you can see, it was open well into the night. I didn't get on duty till 9pm. Didn't start taking pictures till after 11pm.

It was really nice though, lots of stuff to take the kids minds off the situation.

And here, we had a very wild revival meetin' going on. They were rockin' the house!!!

And what kind of playground would it be without some basketball goals. These were very popular.

Another view of the floor as the week wound down. Fewer and fewer cots on the floor.

Moving Day!!! The night before we emptied the Dome we moved the elderly and special needs folks. Lot of work, but went very well.

Things were pretty calm for most of the move. As you can see, lots of gaps appearing in the floor.

Looking down from the upper floor, wheelchairs gathered up in one spot.

Lots of stuffed animals still waiting to be given out. These were quite popular.

A view toward the west end. Those signs were messages by people trying to find relatives and friends.
