Road Harmony

By Milton E. McKinney ©

aka  Breaktrack.

The tires sing to me as I ride along

Each tire it’s own note, contributes to the song.

The sound they make is long and low,

The siren song I do love so.

I ride along, the wind does please,

I ride along, the wind does tease.

The air just pushes me this way and that,

My heart always knows just where I am at.

The sound of the road, the wind, the tires,

The feel of mother nature and all of her fires,

The love of it all wells up in my breast,

The love of it all wants to explode from my chest.

My brain cannot understand or comprehend,

The ride every day that helps my heart mend.

The road is my friend, my doctor, my love,

The road is a gift to me from above.

I ride, and I ride, and I ride, and I ride,

I live and I dream, with those by my side,

We share all our hopes, our fears and our dreams,

We share all our rides, and the chrome as it gleams.

The sound, the feel, the emotions, the sights,

These things are all part of my very best nights.

No ride is boring, tiring or sad,

No ride is wasted, useless or bad.

Every ride is a joy to the heart,

We all ride together to not be apart.

When I ride, you ride, you are with me each day,

I never ride alone, no matter which way.

So my brothers I leave you with all of this said,

And I’ll ride with you every day till I’m dead.

And even then I’ll ride with you still,

And even then, I’ll ride with you still.
